Thanksgiving week is upon us and here at the Colorado Health Institute we are thankful for many things. For this week’s blog, we want to take a moment to thank all of those who make our work possible.
First, we are grateful for the generous support of our four core funders –Caring for Colorado Foundation, Rose Community Foundation, The Colorado Trust and the Colorado Health Foundation.
We thank our board of trustees – a group of really smart and wise people – which is meeting for an annual retreat this week to make sure we’re heading in the best direction.
Our partnerships with organizations across the state allow us to work closely with leaders from different regions to exchange information and ideas. We are grateful for all of their input and support.
Of course, the data nerds of CHI would be remiss to leave out the robust data sources that inform our analyses. From the Colorado Health Access Survey that provides us with Colorado-specific data to the American Community Survey that allows us to look at data on the county level, we are grateful to have these resources at our finger tips.
We are thankful for our co-workers, each one talented and committed and hard-working. We make sure to share some laughs amid all of the hard work.
And we are thankful to play a role in helping to make Coloradans as healthy as possible with our nonpartisan data, analysis and expertise.
Finally, the team at CHI is thankful for the opportunity to connect with colleagues old and new at our Hot Issues in Health Care conference next week on December 4 and 5. We look forward to sharing three keynote speakers, two panels – one with past Colorado governors and one with current legislators - and breakout sessions led by CHI team members and representatives from sister organizations. We have added an updated agenda to the Hot Issues page our website, which you can find here.
Registration for the conference is now closed. Questions? Contact Allie Morgan at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 720.382.7083.
