Addressing the Boomer Challenge: Long Term Services and Supports

August 2, 2012

Between 2000 and 2030, the Colorado population ages 65 and older will grow from 420,000 to 1.3 million. This increase is important in the context of long-term supports and services (LTSS): 70% of individuals over age 65 will need LTSS at some point in their lives. How will Colorado's existing LTSS system meet this increased demand?

At this webinar, CHI's Amy Downs and Tasia Sinn provided an overview of how LTSS are provided in Colorado, discussed how these services are paid for, and concluded with policy options for meeting this increased need while controlling costs.
