Inflation Is Hitting Everyone Hard, Especially Your Local Food Bank
Colorado Public Radio (CPR) cited 2021 and 2023 data from the Colorado Health Access Survey (CHAS) in a report about the growing need for emergency food assistance and the effects of inflation on their ability to meet demand.
The CHAS shows that 8.1% of Coloradans reported not eating as much as they thought they should in 2021 because they could not afford food. That increased to 11.2% in 2023.
The Colorado Health Institute the CHAS every other year. The next survey will be fielded in 2025.
