Linda Reiner named to Colorado Health Institute board
Feb 13, 2012 - The Colorado Health Institute (CHI) has named Linda Reiner, director of planning and evaluation at Caring for Colorado Foundation, to its Board of Trustees. She brings expertise in health, health policy and care delivery to the CHI board.
Before joining Caring for Colorado in 2001, Reiner spent eight years at Tri-County Health Department in Englewood, Colorado. She served as the director of planning, information, and education and as a health planner. In addition, she has worked as an assistant project director at the Illinois Primary Health Care Association, working with community health centers in Chicago to increase access to health services for the underserved.
Reiner holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from The Colorado College.
“Linda is a great asset to the Colorado foundation community, and we’re very excited to have her join the board,” said Art Davidson, MD, director of public health informatics for Denver Health and CHI board chairman. “Through her efforts at Caring for Colorado, she has led several statewide community initiatives that directly impact the health of Coloradans. Her deep understanding of the barriers Coloradans face receiving health care and in particular, oral health care, will benefit both the board and staff at CHI.”
The Colorado Health Institute, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2012, serves as a trusted and leading source of credible health information for Colorado leaders. Core funding for CHI’s work is provided by the Caring for Colorado Foundation, the Rose Community Foundation, The Colorado Health Foundation and The Colorado Trust.
