Nonprofit plants vegetable gardens at homes in Denver neighborhoods considered food deserts

Denver7 cited data from the Colorado Health Access Survey in a story about Denver nonprofit GrowHaus' efforts help local residents grown their own produce. The report noted that the number of Coloradans dealing with food insecurity increased in 2023, climbing to  roughly 11% of Coloradans who said they ate less food than they thought they should because they couldn't afford it. That was up from 8% the year in 2021.
