It’s National Public Health Week and here at the Colorado Health Institute we are celebrating with business as usual – helping to advance the health of all Coloradans by supporting health policy discussions with evidence-based analysis.
The Colorado Health Institute, in partnership with the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), unveiled a statewide strategic plan to create jobs and economic growth in the health and wellness industry on December 11, 2013.
What we do outside of the health care system – things as simple as eating right and exercising – matter at least as much as what happens in the doctor’s office.
All sides agree that events like Sandy Hook should never happen. However, if we can’t review unbiased evidence regarding possible solutions and their intended (and unintended) consequences, our national dialogue on the issue will continue to be mired in finger pointing.
