My summer practicum at CHI represents the best of two worlds for me: I get to work on projects that will benefit the state that I love while focusing on topics that I am passionate about, long-term care and elder abuse.

While national, state and market trends impact health and health care delivery, local communities are where theory and policy meet practice and implementation. It’s with this idea in mind that CHI has embarked on what we are calling our “Adopt a Health Region” initiative this year.
Wednesday was a big day for Colorado’s health care community, particularly those who are working to make our health care system work better. Nearly 150 “movers and shakers” came together to kick off work on a health care innovation plan for Colorado.
Tomorrow, Colorado will officially launch our work on the State Innovation Model (SIM) Pre-Testing Award. Colorado received this nearly $2 million award to improve and strengthen our State Health Care Innovation Plan.
