Ian Pelto
Research Analyst
Ian Pelto served as a research analyst until 2018. He joined CHI in the summer of 2016 as a Public Interest Fellow. He graduated from Colorado College in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international political economy and a minor in biochemistry.
Ian’s interest in health care began at Colorado College, where he became an EMT and pursued a pre-health track. He worked on the Colorado College Emergency Medical Services squad and gained valuable experience as a health care provider. He hopes to apply his experience as a provider to CHI’s work related to health care policy and analysis.
As a Colorado native, Ian is no stranger to the region. From rodeo on the Eastern Plains to skiing on the Western Slope, he is an avid outdoorsman who will always call Colorado home. As the Public Interest Fellow, he hopes to serve fellow Coloradans through his work at CHI.
While at Colorado College, Ian was captain of the varsity men’s lacrosse team and led the team to its first ever second-round NCAA tournament appearance.
