The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention placed Colorado 50th in the country in 2002 and 2003 for child immuniztions. The research by CHI provided a more nuanced analysis revealing three inter-related coverage issues that deserve focused policy attention, including 2-year-old immunization rates for under-immunized populations the timeliness of all immunizations, expcially for infants; and the timing of administration of the fourth dose of Diphteria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DTaP) by 18 months.
