When it comes to health, a growing number of Coloradans are finding a place to call home. Nearly 200 practices in the state are now officially recognized as patient-centered medical homes by the National Committee for Quality Assurance(NCQA) compared with just 17 practices in 2012. Today, 1,252 Colorado providers work in certified medical homes. And the Colorado Health Institute estimates that more than two million Coloradans — around 40 percent of the population — have a medical home.
