DENVER – With COVID-19 surging across the state and hospital capacity limited, local public health leaders across the Denver metro region joined together today to announce a regional approach to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect already-threatened hospital capacity.

The Metro Denver Partnership for Health sent a letter to Gov. Jared Polis last week urging him to take statewide action in response to the current COVID-19 surge, which has created unprecedented challenges for Colorado’s hospital system capacity and may require rationing of medical care soon.
