Our Work
Stronger communities can help us to continue caring for ourselves, our families, and our neighbors. CHI is implementing a network of health care, public health, and community organizations in the metro area — building relationships and coordination to increase access to community-based programs known to prevent and manage chronic disease. Guest speakers from the state health department joined us to share the vision for these cross-sector partnerships in advancing health across Colorado.
In 2024, CHI demonstrated how we use evidence and analysis in smart, sensitive ways to lift the voices of communities that are often overlooked. In this annual report, you can read about three projects that illustrate how we provide trusted analysis and collaborative solutions to improve health.
With Congress discussing major cuts to Medicaid, CHI looked to the Colorado Health Access Survey to gauge the potential impact of Medicaid cuts on Coloradans. CHI directors were joined by Adam Fox of the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative, Dawn Joyce of Impact Health Policy Partners, and Gena Ozols of COLOR Latina to discuss strategies to preserve health access for Coloradans.
