Why is child care a health care issue? When parents and guardians have trouble finding or affording child care, they also struggle to access the health care they need and report worse general and mental health. Unmet child care needs in Colorado vary by geography, race/ethnicity, and income. During this scrambled Eggheads, we highlighted data from the Colorado Health Access Survey showing the impact of these costs on Coloradans in different regions of the state.
